Originally from Seattle, WA Betsy began studying the harp at 11 years old. She took private lessons through college and was a member of the Northwest Harp Ensemble. By the age of 13 she began playing for weddings and events. In 2010, Betsy graduated with a degree in Music Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Shortly after graduation, Betsy moved to Chicago where she studied music therapy at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. In 2011, Betsy became a Board Certified Music Therapist and began working at Coast Music Therapy where she serves children and adolescents with disabilities. In 2013, Betsy received her certification as a Neurologic Music Therapist from Colorado State University. All throughout her studies as a music therapist Betsy continued to perform for events as a professional harpist.
Betsy has had experience playing for weddings, business parties, bridal showers, memorial services, live auctions, fundraisers, holiday gatherings and more. She strives to provide customized music that fits that needs of your specific event. Betsy says, “Music is a passion of mine.
